Dr. Liebler is an ISS Teaching Excellence Award Finalist

Dr. Liebler was announced as a finalist for an ISS Teaching Excellence
Award. The ISS Teaching Excellence Award was established to honor “ISS faculty who demonstrate exceptional performance in the classroom, innovate effectively, inspire learning, and have a lasting impact on the quality of the student experience at MSU.”
Juli Liebler earned her PhD in Criminal Justice in 2015 from Michigan State University. Prior to being appointed as the Director of Outreach, Juli served as the chief of police at the East Lansing Police Department. During her 28 year career she held many positions, including; patrol officer, undercover narcotics officer, tactical team member, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, deputy chief, and chief. Juli is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. She has been teaching undergraduate classes in criminology and criminal justice since 2007.
