Professor David Carter was recently quoted in an article in The Columbus Dispatch titled “Information on Some Columbus Homicide Victims Withheld.”
In the article, which investigates why some information on homicide victims (particularly young victims) is withheld, Dr. Carter says that the practice “is not what we typically find, but it is not unprecedented” and that “there typically is no requirement to release the suspicious-death victim information, but it is common practice.”
